WHO WE ARE
Macau Rugby promotes the sport of rugby in Macau. It aims to be the point of entry for any new player or anyone outwith Macau trying to get involved or find out about rugby in Macau.
Description
Formed in 1996, the Macau Rugby Club has grown from one senior contact team to now having ten junior teams, a senior contact team and several junior and adult Touch Rugby teams. Our touch league has eight local teams and is growing fast. There is a game and team for everyone, irrespective of age or rugby playing experience.
Rugby encourages the development of teamwork while instilling respect for self and others; builds the confidence of younger players, determination and of course fitness. We’re confident you will not find a better game or environment for your child or yourself in Macau, we look forward to welcoming you.
We regularly play competitive games in Hong Kong, China and compete in regional 10s tournaments.
Components
Macau Rugby is composed of two main elements - Macau Rugby Club and Macau Bats Rugby Club.
The Bats is the junior arm of the local game.
Macau Rugby Club represents Macau via Asia Rugby. Macau is an associate member of Asia Rugby.
